Why Rome Is The Ultimate Destination For A Girls Trip
Rome, the capital of Italy, packed full of cobbled streets and historical landmarks. This incredible city is the perfect place for your next trip with your gals and I'm here to tell you why!
The best thing about Rome in my eyes is the FOOD. Fresh pizza or pasta, whatever your heart desires this city will not let you down. My highest praise would go to the infamous cacio e pepe pasta dish, delciousss. With opportunities to be eating gelato all day if you wish, how can you not love the Italian cuisine in Rome! So grab your friends and eat up a storm whilst you are in the city of Rome.
With shops lining the streets of Rome, you would be all set for a shopping day with the gals. Whilst you are shopping make sure to stop off at the Spanish Steps. *Disclaimer they will be flooded with tourists trying to get their next insta post*
There's plenty to visit in Rome to keep you and your friends busy! From the Vatican to the Colosseum + Roman Forum, the city is brimming with history. Don't forget to make your wishes at the Trevi Fountain!
To make your girl's trip unforgettable I recommend heading to Villa Borghese, a gorgeous park, full of historic buildings and museums. However, the highlight of this park is renting a rickshaw for you and your pals to pedal round in. I promise this will provide endless laughs and maybe some newfound leg strength.
There is also a fab nightlife scene in Rome, so after you have lined your stomachs with Italian cuisine and taken your obligatory post-meal limoncello shot, head to a nearby bar to party the night away. I can highly recommend checking out Yellow Bar, great if you're on a budget!
Another great factor about Rome is it was quite achievable for a girl’s trip on a budget, we managed to find a good deal on flights and accommodation, just outside the summer holidays in September. We got our breakfast included to save money on food and tried to take part mainly in free activities whilst in Rome which we found quite easy! On the flip side, however, there are plenty of options to have a much more luxurious stay in Rome, with fancy hotels and scooter tours you will have a fabulous time whatever your budget!
